It's hardly a surprise now due to the photo... But this months product of the month has to go to one of the most loved gradual tanners out there at the moment... Dove Summer Glow!
I bought this weeks ago in Boots for around 4 euro (absolute bargain), and really didn't expect to love it as much as I do. I had actually tried this product a few years ago, along with Johnson's version, and neither really were stand-out products for me. Since then I've been using instant, dark tans, but unfortunately my poor skin is becoming tired of them, so I decided to try Dove once again, especially after reading countless raving reviews about it.
So what's so great about this then, eh?
- The price - amazing
- The smell - absolutely nothing like a false tanner. Very soft, fresh, not overpowering and actually nice.
- Moisturising? 100%. My super dry skin can't get enough of it. Leaves it feeling moisturised ages after application.
- Great sized bottle - lovely design. Included the last photo just to show how easy it is to keep clean.
- The colour - I've seen a lot of people say that they barely noticed anything after one application, and for me this is actually a huge plus. You can completely control how much of a tan you want to get from this. After one application I felt like there wasn't a huge noticeable difference - more of a "your skin but healthier" look, and I loved it. Two days in a row gives me satisfactory tan, three days would be the most I would apply in succession, as I found it could start sticking in places.
Beautiful product, as long as you follow the instructions - rub it in circular motions, and exfoliate regularly.
A+ from me!
As a side note incase you're interested - Dove Summer Glow isn't paraben-free. Lately, I've been paying attention to the ingredients of many of my favourite products, however this particular product does such an amazing job for such a good price that I will definitely repurchase regardless!
