Keeping Skin Silky Smooth - Part 1

Bit of a tongue twister of a title, but I'm sure you get the gist. I was looking at the products I use the other day and realise that a huge amount of them are aimed at keeping skin smooth and moisturised, so I said I'd share them over a couple of posts. Body, face, and lips - I have you covered!

The first topic is, of course, exfoliating. By now we all have heard how important it is to exfoliate, but its still a bit of hassle and something that most of us don't want to bother do. But I guarantee you if you persevere and regularly exfoliate (both face & body) you will notice a huge difference in how your moisturisers and serums get to work.

I'm currently using Cocoa Brown Tough Stuff, and its definitely become one of my favourites. Not only is it a great prep for tan, but it works just as good as a normal body exfoliator. And its pink and smells gorgeous. It does the job but doesn't feel overly harsh on the skin, and will just take a minute out of your time.

For lips, probably one of the most popular lip scrubs ever (and is also pink and smells gorgeous - do I sense a theme?) - Lush Bubblegum Lip Scrub. The weather in Ireland has been just a tad all over the place and has left me (and probably many others) with lovely dry flaky lips. Pop some of this on the lips, gently exfoliate, and apply some lip balm and your back to lovely smoothness once again.

For the face, I've been using the No.7 Beautiful Skin Exfoliating Cream (not pictured). I've only been using it for about a week and I don't exfoliate every day, so I'll be updating on that one in a few more weeks! Before that I was using the Simple Kind to Skin Facial Scrub which worked perfectly.

And that's it! I'd love to hear what you use to exfoliate? Do you have any recommendations?
