Review | Nuxe Rêve de Miel

I'm a big fan of lip balms - particularly since my lips always tend to be chapped and dry, I get way too excited when it comes to trying out new potions. If you're a regular beauty blog reader, you'll know then that Rêve de Miel is quite the holy grail product. Usually one to stock up on if you're ever in a Paris pharmacy (its way cheaper), but unfortunately I never am so this is a pricey little product to buy in Ireland. In an attempt to justify it, however, I will let you know that it'll last absolutely ages (much longer than a tin of Vaseline).

The real question is - does it actually work? In a nutshell, yes its an amazing lip balm, but not something you absolutely need. My first impression of the product was based entirely around the texture; its pretty different to your standard soft balms. It's a much more solid texture, and you have to work a tad harder to pick the product up. This means however, that it does nourish the lips intensely and actually feels like it is at the same time. It takes a bit of getting used to but it'll make your normal balms feel a lot less long-lasting after using it for a while. It really is a great product that you do feel is working, but for the price I think you can get similar results with regular exfoliating and a standard lip balm. If you're feeling like splurging on a luxuriously feeling product though, you won't be disappointed.

Nuxe Rêve de Miel is available on Cloud 10 Beauty and various pharmacies
