Review | Bourjois Rouge Edition Velvet in Nude-ist

Today I bring you the lip product I have been using pretty much daily for the past couple of months, along with a little accompaniment that I thought complemented it perfectly. The two products I'm talking about are Bourjois' Rouge Edition Velvet in Nude-ist, and this nude-pink liner from the P.S. Love range in Penneys (I can't seem to find a name on it, but there's only one nude-pink shade regardless!).

As I repeatedly say on the blog, I'm not much of a lip product person but I have non-stop been wearing these two, they're both just so comfortable to apply and to wear. Bourjois have really done well with the formula of the Rouge Edition Velvet products. I have always tried to steer clear of anything matte-like, but this dries so soft and still feels moisturising. Not to be repeating what the product actually says, but it really does feel like velvet on the lips.

I find that when I apply the liner before this, even though its a tad more brown-toned and darker than the Bourjois product, it will last hours on me before even fading. Again, as I mentioned before, it doesn't dry out the lips, even a while after application. I would recommend to always apply a balm on the lips before using any lip products regardless, as this will make sure it doesn't settle into lines or feel any way uncomfortable. You can see how it looks in the photos below, I had applied the liner and then layered a small amount of Nude-ist over for a subtle light day-time look.
