Review | NYX Butter Gloss in Maple Blondie

I have been meaning to try NYX products for so long now considering how raved about they are amongst the blogging community, and I'm slowly but surely getting round to doing so (I currently have my eye on that Dewy Setting Spray!). Today, however, I'll be talking a little bit about one of their gorgeous Butter Gloss shades, Maple Blondie.

If you're a fan of pigmented glosses, you will fall head over heels for this. It's actually a bit more pigmented looking on the lips than on the swatch above - it's a gorgeous stand-out yet neutral pink that's perfect to make a day look pop! I'll reach for this when I want to keep to those pink-tones but want something a little bit more fun than the typical matte nude shades.

The texture of the product itself, as the name would hint, is quite thick, though not in a bad way. If you can't stand feeling a product on your lips though you might want to give it a miss, though I have to say it's not as tacky as your typical glosses. The product is semi-opaque (NYX describe the Butter Glosses as giving sheer to medium coverage, though, as I said, I found this particular shade to give great colour payoff), and doesn't dry out the lips

I'd just be sure that the lips are prepped before applying this, as you don't want it to cling to any dry patches or settle, though I haven't noticed either happening hugely. They have quite good lasting power for a gloss, you'd get a couple of hours wear, maybe longer for the darker shades but I have yet to try! I'll definitely be picking up some more shades as I am a fan of the formula.

Have you tried the NYX Butter Glosses? Do you like the formula?
