I have been the boldest blog owner lately with my posting - so first things first, I'm very sorry about that! However, I do have some good news as you can probably tell from the fact that you've clicked into this, I have a review right here on La Roche-Posay's Micellar Water Gel.
I stumbled across this on one of my favorite make-up artist/all round beauty guru Lisa Eldridge's blog (you can find that post here), where she listed it as a great cleanser for those of us whose skin is on the sensitive side. As my skin had been looking and feeling quite irritated, I thought it would be the perfect time to give it a go, and off I went to purchase it.
At first I was slightly confused by the label which just states "Apply to wet face", however I followed Lisa Eldridge's instructions and used it the same way I use oil cleansers, massaging the product into the skin to really move the makeup. You can either wipe the residue away with cotton pads, or rinse it off. I prefer to rinse it off and just give a quick wipe over the skin with a micellar water or toner afterwards to ensure every trace is gone.
I found that the gel was extremely gentle on my skin, and was true to its claim of being suitable for sensitive skin. It actually feels very soothing and hydrating, which again is a huge plus! I would say that if you love a squeaky clean feeling that you might get with hot cloth cleansers or foaming cleansers, you may not be the biggest fan of this. However, if you're a micellar water fan like I am, then this is a great product for those who want something a little more gentle.
Hope everyone's having a great Friday!
I just wanted to mention as well that La Roche-Posay currently have a really great initiative called You Share We Care that's definitely worth checking out here.
